IF you are one of those people who take half an hour to decide what to wear to work or to a party this is not the place to live in. The United States. My mind boggles at the choices that i am forced to make every minute of the day here. I cant order a decent cup of coffee before being asked a million things about what to put in it. Same with food. I want a sandwich but i must choose the bread, the meat the vegetables, the cheese and the dressing out of atleast six varieties in each. I walked out of a Subway in disgust because I couldnt make up my mind and I was holding up the line. My brother says it's my fault. I should know what I want. But how will I know unless I try out the different combinations and it'll take me atleast fifty trips to one place before I can practically cover the whole range on offer. Aha. Now i know. If that isnt a sales gimmick then what is? Also, arent we missing the wood for the trees here?
And what if i dont want to make the choices? I already have too much on my mind, thank you. I dont want to be bothered with what i think is too much hair splitting. As long as i can get a non vegetarian, succulent, not too greasy, with not too many calories sandwich what do i care?
I just want to get on with my life. Yesterday, the cashier at a store asked me if I wanted my receipt in my hand or put in the bag...HELP!!
