Shoot those commercials

One reason why i love to watch football instead of cricket is that they cannot put commercials in the 90 minutes of the game. Once the ball is moving nothing can come between you and the ball. In contrast just look at what they're doing to cricket telecasts. Earlier they would atleast wait for the over to be bowled before bombarding you with unimaginative and repetitive ads. Now everytime a batsman hits a boundary or even sneezes they squueze in an ad. It's utterly disgusting. If you are a sports buff it feels nice just to watch the players take their positions, chat or adjust their gear. But what i miss most is the celebration at the end of a win. Ads have completely ruined what used to be the best part of a victory- the back thumping and the victory lap around the ground. I think viewers should seriously boycott all cricket telecasts and teach these money minded guys a lesson. Watching cricket from your armchair is no fun anymore. Attending a live match became an impossibility long ago thanks to the rowdy crowds and the unchecked entry of passholders into the coveted stands. I guess one should seriously consider going back to the radio broadcasts. Or switch to football- like me.
