all years are the same

Another year goes down the drain.The know alls - you know- the media pundits have declared 2007 to be a boring, uneventful year. Just because they didnt have fun so we have to label the entire year as dull! Talk about egotism. If my life sucks, so should yours. Well, I for one dont believe in years and the need to hail each one as it goes by or comes in. Just get on with life man. That's difficult enough without having to keep tabs. So every year while most people go to all sorts of trouble to be seen at new year bashes i usually relax with a book. But this year i decided to be different. I got invited to a party and decided to accept. It turned out to be a good decision. I met some really nice people which reaffirmed my faith in the theory that there are freaks like me still alive and kicking in the world. I say freaks because seriously we are a dying breed. Who reads phantom and asterix comics, enid blyton, georgette heyer and wodehouse these days? Who watches ancient movies like midnight run and a street car named desire? Who has fun without alcohol, drugs,money,bitching and discos? Unbelievable? Freaks? Well, i told you so.
