We went through a live soap opera last week. For three days all of us sat glued to the television and just watched bloodshed, armed killers with evil grins, smoke, fire and shocked common people. It was like a bad dream that just didnt end. I was nursing a migraine so it was worse for me. By the time the whole ordeal was through I'd had enough. I didnt want to go back to work. In fact I'm on leave and the way my office is reacting (like i'd run away or something) i probably wont have a job very soon. I dont care. Who wants to commute for four hours and be miserable the whole day. I never have time to do the things i love which is read and write- especially my blog.
And life is too short anyway. I travelled on the metro yesterday and i kept wondering if bombs would go off or terrorists would barge in and start shooting any minute. What has life come to? Everybody is scared stiff and unhappy with the government. But whatever the hysteria in the media or the candle light vigils it'll probably come to nothing. By next week everything will be forgotten and things will be back to where they were. But people can make a difference- look at the thais- they ousted a PM with people power and demonstrations. Why cant we do something?
