Shiny Ahuja's misfortune is all over the news. God! how i hate the paper these days. It's not fun anymore. I mean, whatever he did or didnt do, does it haave tobe dissected like this? If he's committed a crime, let the law do its job. Why do we have to be bombarded with sordid details of his life and his poor parents and relations hounded by the 'press'. There was a time when i was thrilled that we had so many news channels to choose from. I found CNN and BBC snobbish, classist and too obsessed with the developed world. Today i'm so disillusioned with the indian news channels that i prefer to watch Larry king live!! Our CNN-IBN is forever looking for 'trends' in everything. If there is a murder- they'll have one whole hour of discussion (with their favourite panel) on the new trend of murders in the city.. if there is an accident they'll say accidents are a trend in today's world and so on.
Times now is obsessed with pakistan and always has exclusives on everything. Headlines today cannot think beyond salman khan- they can run a whole half hour prog on whether salman will marry or not and show one 10 seconds clippng repeatedly till your eyeballs fall off.
NDTV has so much of discussions that the poor viewer is absolutely confused.
Why cant you show some happy news for a change and let the viewers make up their minds. Show us how many colleges we have and how many more we need, show us how many protected species we've saved and what needs to be done to save the rest, show us fairs, latest developments in technology, etc during prime time and not at 1 pm or ten in the morning when nobody watches!
There's a lot happening- the world is still a nice place- and can be nicer!

n mr shiney thought irrespective of whether india shone or not, his name would ensure that his luck would shine throughout all his misadventures.... fortunately or unfortunately, it was not to be, n mr ahuja must be whining in his jail cell. perhaps whiney ahuja might describe his fate for now. this is lawyer can help him without fail!
