Nonsense makes the brain go smarter

Next time you see something crazy happen or you are completely confused, dont fret. Just hold on to your sanity and reach for your book (if you are studying) or your new project (if you are working). Chances are you'll hit a jackpot. You might even win recognition- who knows. New research shows (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/06/health/06mind.html) that nonsense actually sharpens the intellect. When our brain cant make sense of things it becomes sharper and its pattern changes. Good news for all of us who keep complaining that most people around have lost their marbles. The nut cases actually have their uses. But i wonder why more Nobel prizes are not forthcoming from this part of the world...?
