The guy who teaches time-management skills in our office is the chap who always turns up late at his pick up point in the car pool. The chap who is a pro in stress management and work-family life balance is rumoured to often beat up his wife. And this beats all- the chap who takes leadership skills actually hid in his seat when our group got into a fight. It sure is a world of double standards. What you see is not what you get. What people claim is not what they are in real life. It's a world of doublespeak. People are fibbing all the time. But sometimes i wonder if they know that they are fibbing. There is one scenario where you tell a lie and you know it. What if you are lying but you dont know it- you actually believe in the lie. So, if Aishwarya Rai believes she is the most beautiful woman in the world when you and i know she's definitely not then can we call her a liar? Sycophants fawn over her for various reasons all the time. So maybe she believes them. And if i believe that i am very funny even though i cant think of anything remotely funny to write about these days will i be labelled a liar?
I'm going to go and buy some joke books before there is any more damage to my reputation!
